GRAVIOLA

Graviola (Annona muricata) spray-dried extract.

Description
Hydroalcoholic extract, concentrated, and spray-dried. Water soluble. Obtained from the leaves of Annona muricata tree tgrows in the Peruvian upland rainforest. Sustainably managed and collected by local communities. Guanábana is usually grown for its fruits. People like them very much fresh for juices and desserts. The leaves have a rich history in indigenous herbal medicine, used for example as a tea for catarrh, hypertension and parasites, and as a sedative and antispasmodic.

Active Ingredients
Annonaceous acetogenins have significant and selective toxicity against various types of cancer (without harming healthy cells), and have also shown antiviral effects.

Uses
Graviola leaves properties have being studied since the 1940's. Most research is focused on antitumoral activity and antiviral properties.
