Description:: The paprika plant is a type of shrub. The stem is short and erect, and reaches average heights of 0.5m to 1.5m. Its leaves and flowers are large and glossy. The fruit is initially green, and becomes redder as it matures. It can reach up to 25 cm in length and contains large amounts of vitamin C. They can be eaten raw or cooked, and are used as a natural coloring agent in the food and cosmetic industries.
